Welcome to WattBox Power Ltd. By accessing or using our website, tools, or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our site.

1. About Us

WattBox Power Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides commercial solar and battery energy storage systems designed to help businesses reduce their energy costs and increase energy independence.

2. Use of the Website

By using this website, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old;
  • You will use the website only for lawful purposes;
  • You will not attempt to access or tamper with data, systems, or accounts that do not belong to you.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if we suspect misuse or unauthorised activity.

3. Products and Services

WattBox Power Ltd designs, supplies, and supports energy storage and solar systems. Product details, technical specifications, and pricing displayed on the website are for informational purposes only and do not constitute a binding offer.

Quotes and proposals are subject to:

  • Site assessment, technical feasibility, and availability of components;
  • Current pricing at the time of contract;
  • Applicable taxes and delivery charges.

We reserve the right to modify product specifications, availability, or prices at any time.

4. Ordering and Payment

Orders are confirmed only upon receipt of a signed agreement or purchase order and cleared payment of any required deposit or full amount.

Invoices must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice.

Title to goods remains with WattBox Power Ltd until full payment has been received.

5. Delivery and Installation

Estimated delivery and installation timelines are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed.

We are not liable for delays due to events beyond our control (e.g., supplier shortages, transport issues, or adverse weather).

Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery or installation, whichever occurs first.

6. System Performance and Guarantees

All performance estimates (including energy generation, payback, and savings) are illustrative only and based on typical assumptions such as solar irradiance, load profiles, and tariff rates.

Actual performance may vary due to site-specific conditions, usage behaviour, and weather patterns.

Product warranties are provided by the respective manufacturers (e.g., Victron, Pylontech, etc.). WattBox Power Ltd may assist with warranty claims but is not responsible for manufacturer warranty decisions.

7. Liability

WattBox Power Ltd will not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses;
  • Business interruption or loss of profits arising from system downtime;
  • Damage caused by third-party interference, improper use, or unauthorised modifications.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under UK law.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, diagrams, and software, is the property of WattBox Power Ltd or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.

You may view or print materials for personal or business reference only but may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute content without written permission.

9. Smart Meter Data Access

Where you submit a request for an energy storage feasibility study, WattBox Power Ltd may, with your explicit consent, retrieve historical smart meter consumption data for your property. The following terms apply to this process:

9.1 Data collected

We retrieve historical half-hourly electricity and/or gas consumption data from your smart meter for the purpose of producing a one-off energy storage feasibility study. No other use is made of this data.

9.2 How your data is accessed

n3rgy data service (https://n3rgy.com) is used by WattBox Power Ltd to interface with the national smart meter systems in order to collect, store, manage and share with WattBox Power Ltd your smart meter data. This service uses the Smart Energy Code (https://smartenergycodecompany.co.uk) Party credentials and Party ID of N3RGY DATA LIMITED, incorporated and registered in England and Wales with the company number 11712674 whose registered office is at Prennau House Copse Walk, Pontprennau, Cardiff, Wales, CF23 8XH.

9.3 Consent

Your explicit consent is required before any smart meter data is accessed. Consent is obtained via a signed Letter of Authority or digital consent form prior to any data retrieval taking place. By providing consent you confirm that you are the legal owner or authorised occupier of the property and that you have been in occupation for a minimum of 12 months.

Consent is granted for a single, one-off data retrieval only. No ongoing or recurring data access will take place.

9.4 Consent validity and withdrawal

Consent is valid only for the duration of the single data retrieval event. WattBox Power Ltd will proactively withdraw consent via the n3rgy API within 5 working days of completing your data retrieval.

You may withdraw your consent at any time before this by:

  • Emailing a signed withdrawal request to hello@wattbox.co.uk, including your name, property address, and meter reference (MPAN/MPRN) where known; or
  • Writing to WattBox Power Ltd, 28 Ardmore Gardens, Drymen, Glasgow, G63 0BL with a signed withdrawal request.

Following receipt of a withdrawal request, access to your smart meter data will be removed via the n3rgy API within 5 working days.

9.5 Data retention

Smart meter consumption data is deleted within 30 days of your feasibility study being delivered to you. Consent evidence records are retained for a minimum of 4 years as required under the Smart Energy Code.

9.6 Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time. To make a request, contact us at hello@wattbox.co.uk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

10. Data Protection

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy at https://www.wattbox.co.uk/privacy.

WattBox Power Ltd is the Data Controller for all personal data collected through this website and our services. Our lawful basis for processing smart meter data is your explicit consent, as described in Section 9 above.

11. External Links

Our website may contain links to external sites. We do not control or endorse the content of these sites and are not responsible for their accuracy, privacy practices, or terms of use.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our website or services if you breach these Terms or engage in any conduct that may harm WattBox Power Ltd or its users.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.

Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. The version of these Terms in effect at the time you provided consent for smart meter data access will form part of your consent evidence record.
